The bottled version of the gravity-poured, barrel-served, extremely limited, festival and style winner Dugges Future Double Barrel-Aged Mega (Gravity Pour)? Yes, but that's it! Our imperial stout Mega, aged in two different types of Kentucky Bourbon barrels for extra, more, most! Because 'more is more'. In the early days of Dugges, sometime around 2005 or 2006, we brewed a 16% imperial stout that never saw the light of day. It just didn't taste right. But, when we scaled down the recipe, it suddenly tasted really good! What tasted really good became Idjit. One of our most iconic beers. Fast forward to 2021, when we wanted to reconnect with that ambition, not just to brew something big, bigger or biggest, but to brew something mega! Extra everything, even more on top and a generous pinch of everything you could ever want. And then some. Since then, we have made countless versions of Mega. But, never actually any pure barrel-aged. This is how it is. Double-barrel-aged too. Because, it wouldn't be Mega if you didn't max it out. So to speak. Explosion!
